ECU3: Meet Me in The Middle marks the 5th release of 2022 from Brycon, a San Francisco-based artist and producer with a great many projects and collaborations in his backstory. This one is the third and conclusive volume in his ECU beat tape series, a musical traveler’s digest of Latin-influenced and hypnotically loopy creations.

Thanks to the constant guidance of Brother and Ecuador-based record digger Bad Samta, the musical energies flowing north to Brycon's San Francisco laboratory have only grown stronger over the 10 year span between ECU Part 1’s creation & Part 3’s release. On Meet Me in the Middle, all the elements from the earlier chapters remain intact, but just a few lbs. heavier. More bugged-out, more rarified, more hazey, more to love.
 
The understated theme behind the ECU series has been communication and contemplation, and Brycon has managed to stick to that theme while keeping things light and (occasionally) comedic. ECU3 takes on the challenge of “concept beat tape” without wearing it too proudly, and still provides the nod factor from beginning to end.
